Owl Canyon Road (CR 70) CR 9 to I-25 Update

Owl Canyon Road will be reopened from CR 9 to I-25 starting on Friday April 12, 2024. Roadway construction activities will still be ongoing on this segment of road through the end of the Summer of 2024, so please obey flaggers and traffic control devices as you travel this roadway segment. Your continued understanding and cooperation are appreciated as road work continues.

Please be advised that the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be shifting southbound I-25 traffic to the east/northbound I-25 passing lane from just north of the Owl Canyon interchange to the CO-Hwy 1 interchange in Wellington. This lane shift is schedule to start Wednesday April 10, 2024. In addition to this lane shift, CDOT will be closing the southbound I-25 on-ramp at Owl Canyon Road and will be detouring traffic down the I-25 frontage road on the east side of I-25. It is encouraged that travelers use an alternate route for southbound on I-25.
