Jason Heimann

On February 22, 2017, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to assist Poudre Fire Authority with a structure fire in the 600 block of Eric Street in Fort Collins.  The fire reportedly started on the rear deck of the home and was quickly extinguished by PFA.  There were no reports of injuries.

During the course of the fire investigation, a firefighter alerted deputies to the presence of possible marijuana concentrate stored in the garage.  Deputies interviewed Jason David Heimann (02/04/1977) who lived in the home with a woman and three children.  Deputies later returned with a search warrant for the home and seized 3.63 pounds of marijuana concentrate and 19.02 pounds of marijuana.  Deputies had probable cause to arrest Heimann, but he could not be located.

An arrest warrant was issued for Heimann and deputies began looking for him at possible addresses in Fort Collins and Loveland.  The Weld County Sheriff’s Office assisted by also checking locations in Ault and Windsor.  Heimann turned himself in at the Larimer County Jail on February 25, 2017 and was booked on the following allegations:

·   Possession with Intent to Distribute more than 5 Pounds but not more than 50 Pounds of Marijuana (Class 2 Drug Felony);

·      Possession with Intent to Distribute more than 2.5 Pounds but not more than 25 Pounds of Marijuana Concentrate (Class 2 Drug Felony);

·      Extraction of Marijuana Concentrate using Hazardous Substance (Class 2 Drug Felony);

·      Child Abuse x 3 (Class 3 Misdemeanor);

·      Reckless Endangerment (Class 3 Misdemeanor); and

·      Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Heimann posted $20,000 bond and was released on February 25, 2017.  A booking photo is attached.  No further information will be released at this time.

The charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
