The Northern Colorado Flood Distribution Center, providing a wide array of needed items to flood survivors, is moving to a new location in Loveland according to Suzanne Bassinger, Larimer County Recovery Manager. “The last day for the Distribution Center at 815 14th Street SW in Loveland will be 5p.m. Saturday, November 30th. The Distribution Center will re-open on Monday, December 9th at their new location, the Outlets at Loveland at 5620 McWhinney Blvd. They will move from Sunday Dec. 1 through Sunday, Dec. 8. This new location for the Distribution Center provides great accessibility to all flood survivors in northern Colorado.”
The Northern Colorado Distribution Center is managed by Cathy Kissner for the Adventist Community Service Disaster Relief. The new location is possible due to the generosity of the Outlets at Loveland. Utilities will be covered by the State of Colorado through United Way of Larimer County. Outlets at Loveland’s General Manager Randy Berman says this is a good fit, “We’re happy to help out with the needs of the community in addition to their shopping needs.”
The Northern Colorado Distribution Center is available to anyone impacted by the 2013 Flood. Supplies are free and include personal items, household items, and non-perishable food. Open since September 16, Kissner says the distribution center has distributed over 98-thousand items of food and nearly 298-thousand individual household items to nearly 5,000 flood survivors. Kissner adds that there is also a ‘needs list’ for bedding, non-perishable food, shampoo/conditioner, laundry items, pet food, cleaning supplies, and Christmas decorations, and those can be dropped off at the center during regular business hours.
This week’s hours for the Northern Colorado Distribution Center are: Today & Tues 10 am - 7 pm,
Weds & Thurs – CLOSED, Friday (Nov. 29) - 10 am - 7 pm, Saturday, Nov. 30 - *LAST DAY* 12-5pm. Re-opening Monday Dec 9th at the Outlets of Loveland. More information is available at the Larimer County Flood 2013 Recovery web site: http://larimer.org/flooding2013/.
