Mission: To promote a healthy community and reduce unnecessary suffering caused by preventable disease, disability, or death. This mission is accomplished by providing community health and environmental health services, communicable disease control, health education, vital records management, health data assessment, development of policies that advance the public's health, and advocacy for community-based services that provide needed health care.

Rabies Concerns in Larimer County
The numbers of animals found with rabies in Larimer County continues to rise. In 2012, close to 50 animals were confirmed to have rabies. Take precautions against rabies by having your pets and livestock vaccinated and following simple steps to prevent exposure to rabies.
