This mission is accomplished by providing community health and environmental health services, communicable disease control, health education, vital records management, health data assessment, development of policies that advance the public's health, and advocacy for community-based services that provide needed health care.

Healthy Communities Program Assists Pregnant Women - No health insurance? If you are pregnant or have children, the Healthy Communities program at the Health Department can help connect you to health care. The program also assists those already receiving Medicaid and/or CHP+ in understanding their benefits and accessing medical, dental, vision, mental health and specialty services.
