Debit and Credit Cards Only for Daily Entrance Permits at Horsetooth Mountain Open Space as Automated Pay Station Takes Over
Department: Natural Resources
Release Date: Jul 13, 2012
Contact Information:
Travis Rollins, Open Spaces District Manager, (970) 498-5622, trollins@larimer.org
The automated pay station installed in February, 2012, at Horsetooth Mountain Open Space has been a great employee during its pilot program, deemed an unqualified success! So much so, that on August 1, 2012, the old cash-and-check self-service vault and system will be removed. The new system which processes self-service daily entrance fees digitally by debit or credit card has proven convenient for customers and efficient for staff. As of August 1, at that location, customers can purchase self-service entrance permits by debit or credit card only.
The Department plans to install other automated pay stations throughout the Larimer County Natural Resources’ fee areas during 2013.
