Career Road Trips series, sponsored by the Larimer County Workforce Center is designed to connect youth (ages 14-21) and businesses together at the business location.  Youth will tour local businesses and have the opportunity to interact with professionals in various industries. Through these Career Road Trips, business leaders describe the types of candidates they plan to hire in the future while outlining their expectations. Youth leave with an understanding of:

  • Careers available within specific industries
  • Skills needed to be successful
  • Education required in high school and beyond
  • The day-to-day work duties in specific careers
  • Knowledge of local employers and their future hiring needs
  • Employer expectations of the next generation workforce
Career Road Trips will be offered once per week throughout the months of June and July.  Tour groups will depart from the Harmony Library, 4616 South Shields, Fort Collins (transportation provided) by 8:30 am and will return by 12:00 noon.  Each Career Road Trip will consist of touring one or two businesses within Larimer County.
