Larimer.org no longer supports Internet Explor version 8 and below. This is to ensure a secure connection to our site, as well as to provide our users all the intended functionality.
Visitors using an unsupported browser will experience issues with logging into secure areas of the site and using some of our applications - including, but not limited to:
If you are using a IE 8 or lower, please look into using one of the following browser options:
If you are using a newer version of IE and are still receiving this warning then the browser is likely in 'Compatibility Mode', where the browser mimics older versions of IE (namely IE 8). This allows the user to visit web sites that still rely on older / depreciated code.
Compatibility mode is turned on / turned off by first clicking on the cog dropdown in the top right corner of the browser:
Click on 'Compatibility View settings'
You should then see the 'Compatibility View Settings' Window.
If you see 'larimer.org' listed in the websites added - you can click on it and then the 'Remove' button to disable compatibility mode for our site. If you are on the Larimer County network, you must also uncheck the 'Display intranet sites in compatibility View' checkbox. Then click the 'Close' button and, once the page is reloaded, the warning will disappear.
If you require compatibility mode for another site, you can always complete these steps when on that page, and 'Add' the site to the compatibility list.
