Description of event: Trail running race at the Sombrero Ranch, 1895 Big Thompson Ave., Estes Park, CO 80517. Date/Timeline: Saturday, September 14, 2013. Registration opens at 7:00am; race starts at 8:30am; final finisher by 10:30am; cleanup complete by Noon. Location: Registration and packet pickup under pop-up tents in front of the Sombrero office. Course follows horse trails on the property. Finish area and food/beverage service at the “Griddle Ground” on the upper side of the property. Parking/Traffic: No roads will be closed or diverted during the entire event. Event organizer has certified Traffic Control Supervisor on staff. Parking staff will direct vehicles to park in the Sombrero lots. Water Requirements: All water brought in via 5-gallon containers. Participation: 475 expected participants plus 20 staff/volunteers and 30-50 spectators. Parties Involved: Hosted by Sombrero Ranches, Inc. (property owner), with permission by owner Cody Walker. Event organized by Bolder Boulder, Inc. Event sponsored by Apex by Sunglass Hut / N3L Optics. Signage: The only signage will be the start and finish banners (each 4’ x 12’). These do not face any public streets and do not promote the event. Cleanup: All solid waste will be removed from the site by noon on race day. Medical Coverage: Estes Park Medical Center will provide an ambulance with two EMTs at the finish line from 8:30am to 11:00am. Port-O-Lets: Waste Management of Estes Park will provide 12 port-o-lets at the start area and 3 port-o-lets at the finish area. Insurance: Event insurance will be provided by USA Track and Field and can name the County as additional insured if necessary.

Additional information regarding our Emergency Communications Plan was requested by the Sheriff. Estes Park Medical Center will be providing an ambulance with two EMT's on site for the duration of the event. EPMC has confirmed that the EMT's will have radio contact with police, fire and medical dispatch in the event of any emergency. We will also have course marshals along the route with cell phone contact to our event director, Matt Jenkins. Matt Jenkins is also the safety officer, and his cell phone for race day is (303) 817-0518. Please let me know if you require any additional information.
Comments: Please ensure that a detailed emergency communications plan is available, and that all staff and volunteers are familiar with the plan.
The Larimer County Department of Health & Environment is available to consult on food safety for the event, and on licensing provisions for vendors involving any catered food service. Information is available on our website at http://larimer.org/health/ehs/food.asp.

Comments: Please provide an Emergency Communications Plan which outlines how medical/fire/law enforcement will be contacted, if necessary. Also, please provide the name and cell phone number of a safety officer. This person will be responsible for ensuring that medical/fire/police are notified in the event of an emergency. This person should be available during the entire event in case we need to reach you.
