This special event is a team bass tournament with 50 teams participating (maximum per Mr. Caughlan) and we anticipate little or no impact on the natural environment, no impact on adjacent lands, and very little impact on parking since we have basically an overnight parking and have left the area by 10:00 am on Sunday morning. As teams check-in they will be directed to purchase parks pass and get their vessel inspected at the ANS Inspection station. They can then launch and meet for the on-the-water safety/rules/live well inspection meeting. All contestants must abide by state and local laws, and DPW regulations. An aerated tank system will be in place for the weigh-in and release boats will dispense all the fish after they have been weighed. No extra staff should be necessary for our event and the existing rest rooms will be adequate and we will ask all participants to carry out all trash. Post event clean-up will insure no reclamation is needed at the event site (Swim beach shelter). If first aid is needed we have several EMT's who fish this event and we do stress safety first and foremost, such as night driving, out-of-bounds areas, and any other risks/hazards. Insurance coverage is required for each boat ($100,000) and Larimer County will be listed as additional insured under our $1,000,000 dollar B.A.S.S. policy. Comments: Tent Permits: Any tent or air supported membrane structure greater than 400 square feet requires a tent permit. Any canopy over 800 square feet also requires this permit. The application for a tent permit can be found at www.pfafireprevention.org under the permits tab. Vendor Requirements: All vendors must comply with the regulations set forth by the Poudre Fire Authority policy 1B-85-102. This policy has been attached to this email and should be distributed to the vendors at the event.
Comments: Please have an emergency communications plan in place that covers how emergency service will be contacted in the event of an emergency. Also, please ensure all participants wear proper fitting PFDs.
