Paying Landfill Account Bills with Your Credit Card or Electronic Check

Credit card and electronic check payments for Landfill account holders will be accepted for the Larimer County Solid Waste Department through the Statewide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA).

SIPA accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

There is a fee charged by SIPA for using this service. The fee schedule is below:

eCheck Transactions:
Transaction Amount + $1.00

Credit Card Transactions:
Transaction Amount +((Transaction Amount +$0.75)x 2.25%) + $0.75
For example, if your bill is $100, the fee will be $3.02 for a total of $103.02.

Q. What Information will I need to have available to make a credit card payment?
A. Landfill Account Number, Landfill Account Name, Payment Amount, Credit Card Number and Expiration Date.

Q. What Information will I need to have available to make an electronic check payment?
A. Landfill Account number, Landfill Account Name, Payment Amount, Routing Number and Account Number.

Q. Is there a fee? If so, how much?
A. Yes, there is a fee charged per transaction.

Q. Why do I have to pay a fee?
A. SIPA charges a 'convenience fee' for processing the transaction. The fee is not charged by Larimer County, nor does Larimer County receive any part of it.

Q. Will I receive confirmation of my payment?
A. Yes, when the transaction has successfully processed, a receipt will appear. You may download and print this receipt. Additionally, if you provide an email address, you will receive an email verification of your online payment. The email address must be entered before you submit your payment. Once you submit the payment, there is no opportunity to go back to edit, add or subtract any information.

Q. How do I confirm the correct amount due prior to making a payment?
A. To confirm the correct amount due during regular business hours, please call the Larimer County Solid Waste office at 970-498-5764.
