Release Date: Jun 9, 2017
Irene Josey, Larimer County Treasurer, 498-7027
June 15th deadline approaches
Larimer County Treasurer, Irene Josey, reminds taxpayers that all property taxes must be paid by Thursday, June 15th in order to be considered timely. The June 15th deadline is for taxpayers who pay their taxes in two equal installments; the first half was due February 28th. Please note the second half payment coupon was mailed with the original tax notice in January. For your convenience and to avoid waiting in lines, please mail your payment to P.O. Box 2336, Fort Collins, CO 80522.
Payments mailed with a United States Postal Service postmark of June 15th or before will be considered timely. Josey said failure to meet the deadline would result in the assessment of delinquent interest for late payment in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes. Any property taxes not paid by June 15th will become delinquent on June 16th, and will bear the full month’s delinquent interest.
If you have an escrow account with your mortgage company for property taxes and have questions regarding their payment, please contact them for further information.
