Wellington Robbery Suspects Arrested

Larimer County Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested Jeffrey Alonzo Varos, DOB: 072893 and Christopher Glen Agnew, DOB: 033192 as suspects in the December 4th robbery of a convenience store in Wellington, Colorado.  

The arrest of Jeffrey Varos occurred after investigators and the Larimer County SWAT team executed a search warrant of a residence in the 3700-block of Henderson Avenue on December 12th. Mr. Varos was arrested for Aggravated Robbery, a class 3 felony and Theft, a class 3 misdemeanor. He is currently being held at the Larimer County Jail with a $25,000 bond.
 
The arrest of Christopher Agnew occurred yesterday , December 17th, in Wellington, as investigators observed him on the street. Mr. Agnew was arrested for Aggravated Robbery, a class 3 felony and Theft, a class 3 misdemeanor. He was also booked on two unrelated warrants for failure to appear in court on previous charges of theft and DUI. He is currently being held at the Larimer County Jail with a total of $25,393 in bonds.
 
The two men are alleged to have entered the convenience store as one of the men pointed a handgun at the clerk while the other gave the clerk instructions. The suspects left the store on foot with an unknown amount of cash. No one was injured.
 
The charge(s) are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
