Tina Barker, Nursing Home Administrator-In Training at Sierra Vista Healthcare, was named the recipient of the Sally Henze Memorial Award in October. This annual award is given to an individual who has contributed significantly to the welfare of at-risk adults in Larimer County by the Larimer County Adult Protection Team (APT).
Tina worked as the Long-term Care Ombudsman for Larimer County Office on Aging, for 10 years prior to her move to Sierra Vista in September 2013. She is currently the chairperson of the Larimer County Adult Protection Team, an advisory committee to the Larimer County Department of Human Services made up community members and providers with expertise and interest in helping at-risk adults.
The award is given in honor of Sally Henze, a nurse and former director of Columbine Home Health. She was one of the founding members of the Larimer County Adult Protection Team.
