The body of an unidentified female was found at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 21 on the bank of the Big Thompson River near the 2900-block of North County Road 31D.

Larimer County Sheriff's Office and Larimer County Coroner investigators responded to the scene. The body was subsequently air lifted to the Fort Collins-Loveland airport and then transported to the offices of the Larimer County Coroner.

It is believed to be the body of the 79-year-old Cedar Cove woman previously listed as missing, presumed dead. (Note: We originally reported this missing woman as being 80 years old.)

This is the first confirmed fatality in Larimer County due to the flooding. A 60-year-old woman from Cedar Cove and a 46-year-old man from Drake are currently listed as missing, presumed dead.

The Larimer County Coroner will release the identity of the deceased as well as the manner and cause of death after the next of kin have been notified.
