Larimer County Sheriff's Office
Lt. Andy Josey, Public Information Officer
The Larimer County Sheriff's Office was summoned to an incident in the 4000 block of West Eisenhower Blvd, just outside Loveland city limits, at 2330 hours on July 3, 2013. The initial call reported that a female had been stabbed at a residence there. LCSO and Loveland Police units arrived and secured the areaconsisting of nearby residences, and identified three injured persons that were then transported to McKee Medical Center and Medical Center of the Rockies; both Loveland hospitals.
The three persons transported to hospitals include a 40 year old Loveland woman, a 38 year old Loveland man, and a 28 year old Loveland man; the three are acquaintances. The 28 year old male suffered only minor injuries and has already been treated and released.
The scene of the incident is being documented and processed for evidence and potential witnesses are being identified by investigators. A motive for the stabbings and details of the events leading up to the assaults are not yet known.
At this time, the names of persons involved are being withheld pending further investigation. As the primary participants are being treated for their injuries and inaccessible to investigators, complete interviews to determine exactly who can be considered a suspect and who can be considered a victim are yet to occur. The medical conditions of the injured that remain hospitalized are currently serious enough that establishing what potential criminal charges may be applied in this incident cannot be determined at this early stage of the investigation.
There is no known danger to the public as a result of this incident. Further information will be made available at a date and time to be determined.
