Larimer County Sheriff's Office received a call at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st, on the report of a suspicious package left at the Western Area Power Administration, located in the 5500-block of Crossroads Boulevard.  Local resources including Larimer County Sheriff's Office, bomb squad, Loveland Police Department and Loveland Fire Department responded to the scene to investigate.

The response was immediate and multiple agencies worked together to contain and investigate the scene.  Fortunately, the suspicious package has been determined to be a delivery of phone books and resources will be clearing the scene shortly.

Although the package turned out to be non-threatening, Captain John Manago said, "This turned out to be a good exercise in how multiple agencies cooperate and I am very pleased with the result as things went very smoothly."
