The Board of Larimer County Commissioners today moved to proceed with contract negotiations with Linda Hoffmann as the new Larimer County Manager. Hoffmann, Planning and Building Services Division Director, has been with Larimer County since 2008.
 
Today’s vote moves the process toward Tuesday, May 22, when a signed contract, salary and start date are expected to be confirmed at the weekly Administrative Matters meeting. Today’s motion authorizes the Deputy County Attorney to negotiate the terms of the employment contract with Hoffmann.
 
All three Board members praised both finalists (Hoffmann and Lorenda Volker) and acknowledged the decision was difficult given two outstanding candidates. Hoffmann replaces Frank Lancaster who is the new Town Administrator for Estes Park.
