New Larimer Clerk & Recorder Angela Myers Sworn-In Today

The new Larimer County Clerk and Recorder, Angela Myers, was sworn-in this morning by 8th Judicial District Chief Judge Stephen Schapanski. Clerk Myers emphasized her commitment to customer service, “we will be accurate and timely in or delivery of services, we will consistently ensure secure and verifiable elections, and we will give all our citizen customers the attention and respect they deserve,” she said. Myers further outlined what she considers to be some of the “exciting opportunities” ahead, such as administration of “sweeping new election legislation [taking] affect this year, technical upgrades to election and recording systems, and open minds for new possibilities and ways to improve how [the office] operates.”
The Board of Larimer County Commissioners named Angela Myers earlier this week as the new Larimer County Clerk & Recorder after an application process and interviews. Myers has been Acting Deputy Clerk since Scott Doyle’s recent retirement. Myers has been with the Clerk’s Office for nearly ten years, as Business Operations Coordinator/Chief Deputy. She will lead an office of 80 employees who provide services in managing elections, recording public documents, and processing motor vehicle registrations.
In closing, Myers thanked the Board of County Commissioners for their trust, Scott Doyle for his excellent example, all Clerk and Recorder staff for their enthusiasm and dedication, her husband and God. “It is my honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Larimer County as Clerk and Recorder. I know our work is critical to the commerce of this county,” she said.
Myers has lived in Fort Collins for 14 years, and was accompanied at the event by her husband of 28 years, Gary Myers.
