Larimer County, City of Loveland, and City of Fort Collins have adopted the Larimer County Urban Area Street Standards. These Standards apply to the design and construction of new and reconstructed streets within the two cities and within the Growth Management Areas for Fort Collins and Loveland within Larimer County.
The Standards went into effect on March 1, 2001 and were revised October 1, 2002, April 1, 2007 and March 1, 2013.
Larimer County together with the cities of Loveland and Fort Collins have updated Appendix C, H, and I of the Larimer County Urban Area Street Standards.
Appendix I is an update to the Roundabout Design Guide and is applicable to all three entities. It is for reference only (not a standard), and provides guidance to basic roundabout design to allow a broader segment of the engineering community to undertake roundabout design.
Appendix C (streetscape design) and Appendix H (multimodal transportation level of service) are applicable only within the City of Fort Collins city limits.
The information in the revised appendices may be accessed through the web link below.
Copies of the Standards are available from the following:
Electronic versions of the documents are available in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format only and are formatted for duplex (two-sided) printing. They may be viewed or printed using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program.
