The following pages display data gathered from a sample of Larimer County residents, through the Health District of Northern Larimer County Community Health Survey. The survey, administered every three years, measures the health status of the community and the accessibility and quality of health care received. The data from the survey were based on 3,532 usable, self-administered questionnaires from Larimer County residents (Health District of Larimer County). Data from the survey was weighted for age, gender, and geography (north/south county split, with the exception of 2010 when geography was not weighted) using the most current Census estimates.

What the above data tell us:
In 2010, 51.3% of respondents reported no days in the previous month where they considered their mental health to be 'Not Good.' This was a 6.9% increase from the survey done in 2007 and a 35.0% increase from the 2001 survey. What the above data tell us:
In 2010, more than twice as many women (1,198) than men (517) reported their mental health as 'Not Good' at some time during the previous 30 days. What the above data tell us:
In the two charts preceding this narrative, data were gathered from survey questions that asked: 'Has a doctor EVER told you that you had any of the following health problems?' and 'Do you NOW have any of the following conditions?' These data represent those who reported past and/or current depression, anxiety, or other mental health problems.In all four surveys, a greater proportion of females reported past and current depression, anxiety or mental health problems. This is similar to national findings which indicate that women experience depression more frequently than men (National Institute of Mental Health).
