County Offices and Courts will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2016 in observance of the President's Day Holiday. The Landfill will be open. Critical services at Larimer County are not disrupted by closures.
The Building Department is responsible for professional building services including permits, plan review, inspections, and code enforcement for all the unincorporated areas of Larimer County. Larimer County is in the process of adopting the 2015 International Residential, Building, Plumbing, Mechanical, Fuel Gas, Energy Conservation and Existing Building Codes. A public/private sector Code Review Committee drafted the proposed local amendments, which have been reviewed and supported by the Board of Appeals.

After seven years, the Building Department is proposing to make administrative changes to the Larimer County Contractors Licensing Program Resolution. These changes will reorganize certain license categories, realign license categories with available industry standard exams, incorporate the alternative testing option for long-established local contractors and other related items.
There will be an upcoming public hearing on the proposed changes, which will take place on Tuesday Feb. 16, 2016 at 3 pm in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, 200 West Oak St., Fort Collins, CO.
