§ Queen’s – Lillie Parker reported that the Queen’s will be participating in Berthoud Days next month and they have met with sponsor Tobacco Free Larimer County.
§ Ovations – No presentation
Chairman’s Topics: Mike Adams
§ Pancake Breakfast – Loren Maxey reported that committee will meet again in ten days.
§ Parade – Pat Young reported marketing is in order. Insurance is ready to be turned in to City of Loveland. Rules and cost structures for parade as approved by Executive Committee.
§ Junior Livestock – Greg Melick absent- no report
§ Animal Welfare –S. Fancher absent- no report
§ Tough Enough to Wear Pink – Alan Rankin reported that the May 8 breakfast at Applebee’s in Loveland raised $700. The proceeds go to McKee Medical Breast Cancer Center. McKee is also very supportive of the golf tournament and have sent out flyers.
§ Guest Services – Frank Marino absent-no report
§ Judges contracts to go out this week. Premium book is online. Open Class cards to be mailed out soon. Premiums are now consistent across all projects.
Rodeo: Steve Humann – no report
§ 2010 Fair Schedule – Lisa Lytle reported updated schedule is on line. Music and demonstrations almost scheduled.
§ Building & Grounds – Liz Garcia reported we have 34 commercial vendors confirmed to date. The vendor layout map is almost completed. Parade entries are starting to come in also.
§ Arena Activities – Abby Powell reported THE MOUNTED SHOOTING DEMOS WILL BE Monday and Tuesday in the Longhorn Arena.
§ Entertainment – Lisa Lytle reported the on Sunday the bands will be mostly bluegrass. Possible Dulcimer contest. Friday night bonfire with band. CSU to become more involved. Offering a birthday package for the Fair. May be able to have a Farmer’s Market.
§ Marketing – Ryan Young
o Comcast is doing bill inserts
o Reporter Herald and Coloradoan putting in ad
o News release going out soon
o TV & Radio scripts soon
o Billboards out July 25th
o Wendy’s tray liners
o Rodeo program
§ Sponsorship – Kathy Buttermore reported total to date is about $75,000 cash & trade. 41 sponsors committed at this time.
§ Passed out Fair camping applications
§ Decided that the July Fair Board meeting needed to be changed from July 28th to July 21st due to parade on the 28th.
§ Discussed work session and volunteer training meeting dates
